ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — In Albany, neighbors and shoppers on Lark Street are grieving the loss of a local shop that was destroyed by fire Sunday night. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A former dogfighting suspect dodged jail with probation Monday. Brian Maclin was scheduled for a bench trial Monday when he suddenly offered a blind plea to a judge and received probation for crimes FOX 2 first told you about in 2022.The case is documented on police body camera footage from an Aug. 31, 2022, raid that exposed dogs stacked in cages. The animals showed signs of dogfighting, as North County Police Cooperative Ron Martin explained in September 2022."Sitting on their own feces. BALLWIN, Mo. – As families get into the holiday spirit by picking out a Christmas tree, a local tree farm has noticed a shortage of trees this year.On Monday, families visited the Sullivan Farms tree lot in Ballwin to make memories."I just grew up having real trees. So it's fun. It makes the house smell good," Payton Seevers said.The lot is full of trees. Back at the warehouse, trees are stacked up and ready to be dropped off at the lot."We get our trees from all over. A long-vacant nightclub property in Lone Tree is now owned by that city.The municipality closed last week on the purchase of 9070 Maximus Drive, which has sat unused since restaurant and nightclub Treo closed in 2009. The city paid $3.85 million for the 14,500-square-foot building on 3.36 acres. The Lone Tree City Council approved the purchase in September, saying the move would allow the city to control redevelopment of the property, which is within the city’s established entertainment district.The property was sold by MRJ Holdings LLC, led by Hemal R. Jhaveri, which paid $3.3 million for it in 2007, records show. (KRON) -- Vallejo police are urging members of the public to help investigators identify four men who stuffed large trash bags full of Levi's jeans and fled from a store.Security cameras inside the store on Admiral Callaghan Lane recorded the four men's faces, including one man who is smiling as he flees with stolen jeans, police said. "The thieves managed to clear the entire wall display of Levi's jeans, resulting in approximately $12,000 worth of stolen merchandise," the Vallejo Police Department wrote.
