Police are investigating why two people have died and another person fell critically ill after doing work for a pesticide company at warehouse over the weekend.According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, three employees of a pesticide company went to Baer’s Furniture warehouse, located at 1589 N.W. 12th Ave. in Pompano Beach, to conduct some work. After they finished and left the building, one of the employees began to feel sick and went to a hospital in Palm Beach County. BSO later discovered that day, that the other two employees had been found deceased. One died in Hollywood and the other in Boynton Beach. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, BSO and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the warehouse Tuesday morning to investigate whether there might be anything there that could affect others inside the building. 7Skyforce hovered over the scene as people were rushed out of the warehouse by fire rescue. TEL AVIV (WSVN) – As Israel celebrates 75 years, the unimaginable loss of loved ones are fresh in the minds of people. One car after another and another pulled over off a highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and then came the sirens. They can be heard faintly in the distance. But even if these drivers can barely hear it, they know it’s there. All over the country. And so they stop.“Everyone in this country knows someone has a family member that has fallen,” said Lily Serviansky, with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. “Colleagues, friends, parents, children, everyone in mourning, and it’s a very personal day.” Remembrance Day in Israel began Monday night as thousands of people gathering at a military facility atop a Latrun hill where Israeli and Arab soldiers battled, which followed the formation of the state of Israel. And after minutes of silence, another air raid siren marked the start of the holiday.“Then, the entire country becomes more som...Attorneys for the Idaho murder suspect want a surviving roommate to testify. (CNN) — One of the surviving roommates in a stabbing attack that left four University of Idaho students dead is being asked by suspect Bryan Kohberger’s attorneys to testify in his upcoming preliminary hearing — a demand she is resisting, according to new court documents.Kohberger’s attorneys are asking a Nevada court to compel Bethany Funke to travel to Idaho and testify as a witness for Kohberger in late June. Magistrate Judge Megan Marshall is set to preside over that hearing in Moscow, Idaho. An affidavit from a defense investigator used in support of the subpoena claims Funke has information that is exculpatory to Kohberger. She is one of two people who survived the attack at a home.“Ms. Funke’s information is unique to her experiences and cannot be provided by another witness,” according to court documents obtained by CNN affiliate KOLO.An attorney for Funke, who returned to her hometown of Reno, Nevada, following th...Florida’s killer clown case finally ends with plea deal

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — A clown came to Marlene Warren’s door on a May morning in 1990, handed her carnations and balloons and then shot her dead in front of her son. On Tuesday, her husband’s alleged mistress and future wife finally pleaded guilty to being the killer — even though she still insists she is not — closing a case that is strange even by Florida standards.Sheila Keen-Warren, 59, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a deal that will likely see her released from prison within a year. Long suspected of being the shooter, Keen-Warren has been jailed awaiting trial for first-degree murder since 2017, when Palm Beach County sheriff’s investigators said improvements in DNA technology proved that a hair found in the clown’s getaway car came from her.Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg said in a statement that the plea deal “obtained a measure of justice” for Marlene Warren and her son. We’re in a very rinse and repeat type forecast this week. After nice mornings, we develop more clouds in the afternoon and out of those clouds a few spotty showers. The only difference is where those spotty showers pop up. Yesterday they were primarily across southern New Hampshire with a few rogue sprinkles in far northern Worcester County and the Merrimack Valley. Today north and west of Boston.Rain chances will remain small the next two days, but not zero. The placement again looks to vary each day. Wednesday looks to be most likely far west, in Worcester County and Western Mass. So unless you’re in Worcester County I think you’ll be dry tomorrow. Then Thursday those shower chances are a little bit more uniform across the area, but still spotty and hit & miss activity. We all dry out on Friday. The other theme we had the last couple of days is “cooler coast” and that’s not going to change. In fact I think tomorrow is even more pronounced as ...The Jets are hoping Aaron Rodgers helps rewrite their story after disappointing finish to 2022

The Jets finished last season on a sixth-game losing streak. That downward slide to a 7-10 season led to a significant seismic shift within the organization this season. After Gang Green started Zach Wilson at quarterback the last two seasons, the Jets and the Packers agreed on a blockbuster trade that would send Aaron Rodgers to New York.In return, the Packers will receive the Jets’ No. 13, a 2023 2nd-rd pick (No. 42), a 6th-rd pick (No. 207), and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that becomes a first if Rodgers plays 65% of the plays next season. In addition to Rodgers, the Jets will receive the Packers’ No. 15 overall and a 2023 fifth-round pick.Of course, adding a quarterback of Rodgers, who has won four NFL MVP awards and a Super Bowl in 2010, has a lot of people within the Jets organization optimistic. Now Gang Green will hope Rodgers can lead them to the playoff for the first time since 2010.“There is going to be excitement,” Jets general manager Joe ...John Kerry faces heat from House Oversight Committee chair

The House Oversight Committee is attempting to siphon details of the inner workings of John Kerry’s super-secret Climate office in a move being hailed by one watchdog.Michael Chamberlain, director of Protect the Public’s Trust, said he’s had to take Kerry to court over his lack of transparency. Now House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is threatening his subpoena power to see exactly what Kerry, the special envoy for climate, is up to.“The work of the American public is supposed to be performed in the open and that obligation should apply above all to an office with the power of John Kerry’s Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,” Chamberlain told the Herald Tuesday.Kerry has told the Herald a listing of his entire staff will not be shared until October of 2024 — a month before the next presidential election. The Herald made that request via the Freedom of Information Act.Comer doesn’t want to wait that long.In...Yosemite closes over flooding threat as huge snowpack melts

By AMY TAXIN and JAE C. HONG (Associated Press)LEMOORE, Calif. (AP) — Ron Caetano is packed and ready to go. His family photos and valuables are in the trailer and he’s put food in carry totes. He moved the rabbits and chickens and their automatic feeders to higher ground. He and his family and dogs could get out in less than an hour, they figure, should more heavy rain or hot weather melt so much mountain snow that gushing water overwhelms the rivers and channel that surround their tight-knit, rural Central California community and give it its name, the Island District.“The water is coming this way,” said Caetano, who started a Facebook group to help organize his neighbors. “I am preparing for the worst and praying for the best and that’s all we can do.”After more than a dozen atmospheric rivers dumped epic rain and snowfall on California, a reservoir that stores water upstream is expected to receive three times its capacity in the coming mo...Latest news
