Attorney General's office investigating deadly shooting in Gloversville GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Police say they received a 911 call shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday for a call of shots fired. Once on scene, they say they located a man who said he was shot at but not hit. The shooter fleeing into a house on Fremont Street. Police cars were all over the place,” explained neighbor, Kimberly Sagendorf.  “I felt like I could be next. Or anybody could be next. LOUIS - An Indiana man is accused of pointing a laser at a Metro Air Support helicopter in the St. Louis area.Jason Foster, 47, was indicted in federal court earlier this year on one count of aiming a laser at an aircraft. Foster's indictment alleges the incident occurred on Feb. 21. He was arrested on May 31 in Indiana. What to know about Missouri's gun laws A federal court filing alleges the pilots were actively involved in an investigation at the time, and the laser temporarily blinded them. The FBI and aviation authorities have warned that lasers can blind pilots. Emeryville: Suspect in romance scam acquired $800,000 through various cons, feds claim OAKLAND — Federal prosecutors have charged an East Bay man with allegedly acquiring $800,000 in schemes that targeted people searching for two of life’s greatest essentials: housing and love.Barnabas Jime was charged June 1 with a single count of wire fraud, which carries up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Authorities say the investigation started back in July 2022, when the victim of a romance scam reported sending funds to an Emeryville resident named Thomas Kirkpatrick, who apparently took the money and ran.When federal authorities looked into it, they reportedly discovered that not only did Kirkpatrick not exist, but that both his identity and a second name — Patrick Warren — were invented by Jime to perpetrate various fraud schemes.
