A 40-year-old woman was stabbed in Reseda Tuesday morning and police arrested a suspect. The incident was reported around 10:10 a.m. near the intersection of Reseda Boulevard and Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.Responding officers found the victim suffering from a stab wound. She was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.Police were searching the area for the suspect and he was eventually located and taken into custody, authorities said without elaborating. OAKLAND — A Bay Area man has been hit with federal charges that stem from a February 2023 shooting in which he allegedly fired at a man who’d just shot a round into the air, court records show.Rufus Rogers, 44, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. The criminal complaint alleges that on Feb. 17 Rogers and another man argued outside of a liquor store on 60th Avenue and the other guy shot a pistol into the air once, prompting Rogers to fire three times at him.No one was struck by gunfire.Rogers, identified by police through surveillance camera footage, was on supervised release at the time after serving nine years in federal prison for crack cocaine sales. (KRON) -- An arrest has been made in connection with a homicide that occurred last month near the Oakland Embarcadero, according to the Oakland Police Department. Victor Sledge has been arrested in the killing of Nicole Marcy on July 19 in the 1200 block of 18th Avenue.OPD responded to the initial incident just before 5 p.m. on July 19.
