Rockies give up four homers, strike out 15 times in 9-3 loss to Phillies as early season slide continues If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Or another. With a fifth consecutive poor start by right-hander Jose Urena, an offense that’s sputtering like a ’70s Ford Pinto, and a seventh-inning meltdown by reliever Dinelson Lamet, the Rockies were drubbed, 9-3, by the Phillies on Sunday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.Colorado has lost 11 of its last 12 games and its 6-17 record is tied with the 2005 club for the worst record after 23 games in franchise history. Some perspective: the 1993 expansion team went 8-15.Philadelphia, which took three of four games in the series and celebrated the Philly Phanatics’ 45th birthday, launched a season-high four home runs. They mashed eight homers during the series vs. two for the Rockies.Urena continues to be a weak link in the rotation, hurt by walks and home runs. The right-hander was gone after 3 2/3 innings, having given up four runs and departing the mound with a 9.82 ERA. He was charged with four runs on four hits, in...
